Fourth survey of trade union use of the net
We’ve done three annual surveys of trade union use of the net; the most recent one in early 2013. (Here’s the report.)
These surveys have gotten fairly significant numbers of participants – 2,746 last time (+377 more in French); 2,605 in 2012 (+349 in French); and 1,336 in 2011 (Survey was done only in English then).
Should we do on in 2015?
And would one of you be willing to volunteer to craft the survey, arrange the translations (ideally not only French this time) and produce a short report on the results? I’m happy to help with the technical side and publicity.
Please reply using the comments below so that everyone can see any discussion that takes place.
Thanks!

Hallo Eric,
I’d try to translate the survey into German.
Mit kollegialen Grüßen / Regards
Gerhard Jüttner
I think the survey always of interest to people and it’s a good organizing tool for us. I am willing to help in any way.
I’ll work on a Spanish version. We should make the translated versions culturally appropriate, adapting questions while maintaining the integrity of the data collection needed for comparison across the different versions.
What sort of time/deadline are we looking at?.
Thanks to David and Gerhard for offering to translate, and to Derek for generally offering to help. I think we need a larger team for this – especially for translations – so I’ll be doing a mailing to all correspondents about this in the next week or so.
