GOOD NEWS - MANSOUR OSANLOO FREED
Following a very large international campaign that brought together the
International Trade Union Confederation, the International Transport Workers
Federation, Amnesty International, the European Union, and thousands of
individual trade unionists who participated in the online campaign on
LabourStart, jailed Iranian trade union leader Mansour Osanloo is now free
after a month in jail.
Full details are here:

Thanks to the more than 7,000 of you who sent off messages demanding his
release.

PHILIPPINES: TELL WAL-MART TO STOP DELAYING
Last night we received an urgent appeal from workers in the Philippines who
are employed by a supplier of Wal-Mart, Chong Won Fashion. These workers
have been the victims of a brutal employer who has not hesitated to employ
violence against them. Your support is needed now -- please go here and send
off your message today:

LAST MINUTE HOLIDAY SHOPPING FOR TRADE UNIONISTS
If you're looking for that perfect present for your own special activist (or
yourself!) there's no better place than Labour's Online Bookstore at
http://www.labourstart.org/books.shtml
We have a selection of hundreds of books and DVDs that trade unionists love,
from two unionized bookshops. And remember that a small percentage of every
sale goes to support LabourStart.
Thanks very much.
Let me take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy holiday season.
Texts appearing here are often press releases sent to us by unions and other organizations which do not appear elsewhere on the web. LabourStart takes no responsibility for their content.
