Even though it&#8217;s a Sunday, the effect of the mailing should be dramatic.  The things we&#8217;ve asked people to do, and which we can monitor, include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sending off a message in support of Oak Harbor strikers and join the associated Facebook cause.<\/li>\n<li>Voting in the Labour Photo of the Year.<\/li>\n<li>Donating to LabourStart.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In order to measure the impact of the mailing, it&#8217;s important to know our baseline, where we are starting from.  So here are the initial numbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Messages sent in Oak Harbor campaign &#8211; 83 (English only)<\/li>\n<li>Signed up to Facebook cause &#8211; 132 (Yes, 49 <em>more<\/em> than those who sent messages)<\/li>\n<li>Labour Photo of the Year &#8211; 2,070 votes cast<\/li>\n<li>Donations &#8211; none so far today<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stay tuned &#8211; update coming soon &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Updated 27.10.08 08:51 GMT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Campaign &#8211; 1,536<br \/>\nFacebook group &#8211; 458<br \/>\nLabour Photo of the Year &#8211; 2,212<br \/>\nDonations &#8211; $80.00 (4 donations)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve just sent out a mailing to our more than 52,000 subscribers in English.
