At the request of the union, we added a link to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/one-day-longer-support-kawasaki-workers-in-the-philippines?attribution_id=sl:589ddc18-638f-4ab4-9c4a-36aed70c55ad&amp;lang=en_CA&amp;ts=1755872109&amp;utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&amp;utm_content=amp13_c&amp;utm_medium=customer&amp;utm_source=copy_link\">GoFundMe page for the strikers<\/a>, which doubles in one week from <strong>C$554<\/strong> to <strong>C$1,129.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Korean language:<\/strong> We have translated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5694\">the Kawasaki campaign<\/a> and mass mailing, with additional text in the mailing to explain our long absence, thanks to translations done by our new intern, Joanne. A followup mailing is going out on Tuesday. One of our goals is to identify active supporters and get new translators for when we no longer have an intern.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LabourStart Executive:<\/strong> Two new members have joined &#8212; Mac Urata (Japan) and Lennon Wong (Taiwan).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Correspondents:<\/strong> We have a number of new correspondents, including one from Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mailing lists:<\/strong> Our lists grew by <strong>244<\/strong> this week, with <strong>209<\/strong> of those on the English list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fundraising:<\/strong> We did <a href=\"https:\/\/labournewsnetwork.org\/2025\/09\/02\/from-turkey-to-the-philippines-this-is-what-solidarity-looks-like\/\">our annual Labo(u)r Day appeal<\/a>, raising <strong>\u00a31,764<\/strong> in the first 3 days online. <strong>\u00a31,510<\/strong> of that came in the first 24 hours. The appeal then went out in<strong> 5<\/strong> more languages, with more on the way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equal Times:<\/strong> We have heard that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equaltimes.org\/\">this online magazine<\/a>, created by the ITUC in 2012, is shutting down.
