{"id":4935,"date":"2025-04-07T07:36:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T05:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4935"},"modified":"2025-04-11T10:26:37","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T08:26:37","slug":"labourstart-in-numbers-as-of-1-april-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4935","title":{"rendered":"LabourStart in Numbers as of 1 April 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What follows is a brief summary of highlights followed by the usual long list of numbers.<\/p>\n<p>SUMMARY:<\/p>\n<p>Our new podcast service is picking up and we have passed the 7000 downloads mark.\u00a0 Older episodes continue to see new downloads, suggesting that the word is still getting out about the series.<\/p>\n<p>Our first podcast to break the 500 downloads mark dropped in March, an interview with the President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees regarding his union\u2019s reaction to Trump\u2019s threat to \u2018annex\u2019 Canada.<\/p>\n<p>We continue to see changes in the mailing lists as the problems that resulted from several mailing service provider changes are corrected but growth has returned.\u00a0 Spanish has displaced German as our third-largest list.<\/p>\n<p>Our two Bluesky accounts are managed in much different ways.\u00a0 Sporadic efforts were made the increase the followers of the global accounts which now stands at 15,301, up from 13.2k.\u00a0 The Canadian English-language account went from 297 to 353.<\/p>\n<p>XTwitter feeds continue to decline.\u00a0 Most or all of that can be attributed to our followers abandoning the platform for Bluesky and perhaps Mastodon.<\/p>\n<p>Our other numbers remain fairly stable.<\/p>\n<p>THE NUMBERS:<\/p>\n<p>The first number next to each item is the current total as of today; the second number is the total as of the last report.
