We released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzsprout.com\/2313632\/15001830\">the interview we did with Myanmar trade union leader Khaing Zar<\/a> and in its first day online, it soared to <strong>139<\/strong> downloads, well on its way to being one of our most popular podcasts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kenya campaign:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5422\">The Kenya campaign<\/a>, launched at the request of PSI, picked up more than <strong>1,000<\/strong> new supporters in the last week, and appears in <strong>15<\/strong> languages &#8212; a gain of <strong>8<\/strong> languages this week. The union has suspended the strike but we&#8217;ve been asked to keep the campaign live for a while longer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panama campaign:<\/strong> We closed this campaign after more than four months online &#8212; it had <strong>5,282<\/strong> supporters and appeared in 12 languages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> In the first 9 days of May, our volunteer correspondents posted <strong>1,082<\/strong> news stories, or <strong>120<\/strong> on average every day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Podcasts: This week we interviewed Esther Lynch, general secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation &#8212; that interview will go live next week.
