{"id":4755,"date":"2023-05-18T10:48:48","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T08:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4755"},"modified":"2023-05-18T10:48:48","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T08:48:48","slug":"28-days-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4755","title":{"rendered":"28 days later &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The LabourStart Global Solidarity Conference is now behind us.\u00a0 There&#8217;s a summary of what happened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericlee.info\/blog\/tbilisi-meeting-at-a-time-of-wars-crises-and-catastrophes\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, in the last four weeks &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mailing lists:<\/strong> We&#8217;ve had problems with right-to-left languages using MailJet.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve now tested Hebrew on a new service and it seems to work well.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll migrate our Arabic and Farsi lists there soon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finances:<\/strong> The conference cost us considerably more than we were planning (unexpected costs for hiring the hall, interpretation equipment rental, etc) and we did a successful emergency fundraiser to cover those costs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advertising:<\/strong> To publicise our Belarus campaign we&#8217;ve started our first paid advertising campaign in a very long time.\u00a0 We are initially using Microsoft, but have also applied to use Facebook again.\u00a0 That campaign is now up to 6,420 but it could be much higher.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Georgia campaign:<\/strong> Just before the conference opened we launched a campaign in support of Wolt workers in Georgia.\u00a0 Today it has 5,080 supporters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Upcoming campaigns:<\/strong> We are expecting campaign proposals shortly from unions in Namibia and Israel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The LabourStart Global Solidarity Conference is now behind us.\u00a0 There&#8217;s a summary of what happened here.
