{"id":4681,"date":"2022-11-24T12:40:27","date_gmt":"2022-11-24T10:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4681"},"modified":"2022-11-24T12:41:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-24T10:41:56","slug":"belarus-turkey-campaigns-go-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4681","title":{"rendered":"Belarus, Turkey campaigns go live"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/images\/5229.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a bit late with this update &#8211; sorry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5229\"><strong>Our new Belarus campaign<\/strong><\/a> went live on 12 November, appears in <strong>15<\/strong> languages and currently has <strong>6,906<\/strong> supporters.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5205\"><strong>Marlboro campaign (Turkey)<\/strong><\/a> finally went live to all our lists in early November. It too appears in <strong>15<\/strong> languages and has <strong>5,646<\/strong> supporters.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5198\"><strong>Philippines campaign<\/strong><\/a> had just <strong>2,875<\/strong> supporters last month; it&#8217;s now up to <strong>4,495<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We posted our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=5224\"><strong>first campaign ever<\/strong><\/a> in Greek.<\/p>\n<p>Our mailing lists are growing. In November we added <strong>753<\/strong> new subscribers, with hundreds of new subscribers to both our English and Turkish lists.<\/p>\n<p>Following the crisis in Twitter, we created a LabourStart account on <a href=\"https:\/\/mastodon.social\/explore\"><strong>Mastodon<\/strong><\/a>, the free, open source alternative. Our account is called @labourstart@union.place and as of this morning we have <strong>70<\/strong> followers.<\/p>\n<p>We discovered a problem if one person did multiple translations of a campaign; this has now been fixed.<\/p>\n<p>In late October in Kvareli, Georgia Eric spoke to an audience of 50 young Georgian activists about the trade union movement at an event funded by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.<\/p>\n<p>Eric also met with the Georgian Trade Union Confederation and three NGOs in Tbilisi to discuss our upcoming Global Solidarity Conference, which is currently scheduled for 28 April 2023.\u00a0 He also visited two universities that might host the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m a bit late with this update &#8211; sorry.
