{"id":4272,"date":"2019-07-29T13:20:01","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T11:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4272"},"modified":"2019-07-29T13:20:01","modified_gmt":"2019-07-29T11:20:01","slug":"july-is-campaign-season-at-labourstart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=4272","title":{"rendered":"July is campaign season at LabourStart"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We&#8217;ve launched three campaigns already in July and the month isn&#8217;t even over yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One, which we launched last week, is in support of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=4172\">Erlan Baltabay<\/a><\/strong>, a jailed trade union leader in Kazakhstan. The local authorities dismissed trade union members without any legal basis. The workers have been picketing since the 20th of May. The number of dismissals reached 187 on July 24.  This campaign will be going live today &#8212; and a LabourStart banner will be taken the picket line this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cambodia campaign (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.labourstartcampaigns.net\/show_campaign.cgi?c=4153\">Cambodia: Solidarity with workers at the West Mebun temple<\/a><\/strong>) which we launched 26 days ago has <strong>5,482<\/strong> supporters and appears in <strong>17<\/strong> languages.
