{"id":296,"date":"2009-02-17T09:28:14","date_gmt":"2009-02-17T07:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=296"},"modified":"2009-02-17T09:28:14","modified_gmt":"2009-02-17T07:28:14","slug":"the-end-of-lnn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=296","title":{"rendered":"The end of LNN?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just had a request &#8211; as I frequently get &#8211; to publicize union news that doesn&#8217;t yet appear on the web.\u00a0 In the past, we&#8217;ve always tried to get people to use our Labour News Network for this purpose.\u00a0 But LNN, no matter how we did, has always been a bit tricky.\u00a0 The latest version uses Jottit.com, which breaks one of our own rules (over-reliance on free tools that we can&#8217;t control).<\/p>\n<p>Today I had an appeal to stop the deportation of a Saudi Arabian trade unionist from Britain.\u00a0 Instead of posting it to the Jottit site, I used my own blog on UnionBook and made the blog entry public.\u00a0 Then I linked to it from LabourStart.
