{"id":2412,"date":"2012-06-12T11:03:57","date_gmt":"2012-06-12T09:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=2412"},"modified":"2012-06-12T11:03:57","modified_gmt":"2012-06-12T09:03:57","slug":"campaigns-that-no-one-supports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=2412","title":{"rendered":"Campaigns that no one supports?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s great that so many LabourStart campaigns these days get 5,000 messages or more sent. \u00a0But there&#8217;s a big gap between what happens to our campaigns in certain key European languages (English, French, Spanish, Norwegian and Italian) and all the rest.<\/p>\n<p>And in some cases, <strong>we have campaigns running that don&#8217;t have a single supporter. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be writing to our translators today to try to figure out with them what we can do &#8212; because <strong>there&#8217;s no point in translating campaigns that no one knows about<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the current campaigns with zero (0) supporters &#8211; the number in brackets is the size of our mailing list for that language:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chinese (simplified) [357]: Colombia,<\/li>\n<li>Farsi [188]: Iraq, Turkey, Algeria<\/li>\n<li>Hebrew [153]: Colombia,<\/li>\n<li>Korean [93]: Bahrain,<\/li>\n<li>Vietnamese [12]: UK, Iraq, Algeria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that mailings did not go out in most cases to the lists.<\/p>\n<p>Any correspondents with any suggestions about how to deal with the issue are invited to post comments below.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s great that so many LabourStart campaigns these days get 5,000 messages or more sent. \u00a0But there&#8217;s a big gap between what happens to our campaigns in certain key European languages (English, French, Spanish, Norwegian and Italian) and all the rest.
