{"id":2314,"date":"2012-05-21T08:57:49","date_gmt":"2012-05-21T06:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=2314"},"modified":"2012-05-21T08:57:49","modified_gmt":"2012-05-21T06:57:49","slug":"weekly-roundup-9-21-may-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=2314","title":{"rendered":"Weekly roundup &#8211; 9-21 May 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been more than a week because I spent all of last week in Geneva, attending <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iuf.org\/26thcongress\">the IUF&#8217;s 26th congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the request of the North West Playfair group in the UK, I answered a half dozen interview questions about LabourStart for their new publication.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s been a busy time for campaigns:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>One campaign launched (by Derek) in support of the USW.<\/li>\n<li>One on its way (Mexico) &#8211; launching very soon.<\/li>\n<li>One rejected (Pakistan) &#8211; following discussion among senior correspondents.<\/li>\n<li>One more to decide on (Kenya) &#8211; waiting for the views of a GUF.<\/li>\n<li>One still waiting for the partner union to be confirmed (Iraq).<\/li>\n<li>One waiting for better texts (Korea).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Lots of emails answered, more work done on the Iceland project (see below), new correspondents added, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been more than a week because I spent all of last week in Geneva, attending the IUF&#8217;s 26th congress.
