But PSI tells us that it had an effect:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Combined with other actions by PSI, it generated a useful response from the government &#8211; a detailed letter of response, which at one stage the government was also copying to all those who had signed the on-line campaign. The response itself was rather unsatisfactory, but useful to our affiliates in terms of media work and keeping up the pressure.
