{"id":1813,"date":"2011-07-27T15:38:42","date_gmt":"2011-07-27T13:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1813"},"modified":"2011-07-27T15:38:42","modified_gmt":"2011-07-27T13:38:42","slug":"palestine-campaign-will-our-biggest-current-one-after-only-6-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1813","title":{"rendered":"Palestine campaign will our biggest current one after only 6 days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/cgi-bin\/solidarityforever\/show_campaign.cgi?c=1057\">Palestine campaign<\/a> now has <strong>3,605<\/strong> supporters after only 6 days online. \u00a0It is only 32 behind the Georgia campaign, which has been online for \u00a027 days. \u00a0One or two points to note &#8211; just random observations, really:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The other campaigns were launched at the initiative of <strong>large and powerful<\/strong> national trade union centers and global union federations (IMF, AFL-CIO, ICEM, PSI, etc.). \u00a0This one was launched at the initiative of a <strong>very small, independent union<\/strong> (WAC Ma&#8217;an). \u00a0Sometimes, small is beautiful.<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes, the <strong>nationality of the workers involved<\/strong> is decisive.
