{"id":1508,"date":"2011-03-29T09:48:19","date_gmt":"2011-03-29T07:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1508"},"modified":"2011-03-29T11:06:57","modified_gmt":"2011-03-29T09:06:57","slug":"tuesday-morning-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1508","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday morning updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back at my desk after being away for more than a week &#8230; here are some updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There&#8217;s now a shortcut to our <strong>news about Wisconsin<\/strong> &#8211; just go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/wisconsin\">www.labourstart.org\/wisconsin<\/a> . \u00a0I&#8217;ve also fixed the page the displays state\/provincial news; it had been showing a link to our old mailing lists.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve written to the CTUWS to ask if they want us to do <strong>a campaign opposing the Egyptian government&#8217;s plan to ban strikes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>I spoke last week at the New Orleans <a href=\"http:\/\/uale.org\/2011-uale-conference\">conference<\/a> of the UALE &#8211; on a panel on the subject of global solidarity. \u00a0My lecture notes are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ericlee.info\/blog\/?p=438\">here<\/a>. \u00a0The conference was an opportunity to do some networking and I learned a lot about Wisconsin and other issues that concern the labour movement in the US.<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;re up to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/event.php?eid=115305651879937\">55 people attending (or possibly attending)<\/a> our conference in November.<\/li>\n<li>MailChimp suspended our account last week because one person on one of our lists claimed he never signed up. \u00a0I proved to them today that he had, so I hope that later today we will be able to resume mailings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back at my desk after being away for more than a week &#8230; here are some updates: There&#8217;s now a shortcut to our news about Wisconsin &#8211; just go to www.labourstart.org\/wisconsin . \u00a0I&#8217;ve also fixed the page the displays state\/provincial news; it had been showing a link to our old mailing lists.
