{"id":1246,"date":"2010-07-15T11:31:38","date_gmt":"2010-07-15T09:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1246"},"modified":"2010-07-15T15:31:49","modified_gmt":"2010-07-15T13:31:49","slug":"conference-over-now-the-real-work-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/blogs\/?p=1246","title":{"rendered":"Conference over &#8211; now the real work begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, that was pretty amazing.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be publishing a lot of material about the conference in the next few days on the conference website itself &#8211; http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/2010<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, today I&#8217;ll add some odds and ends about stuff I&#8217;m doing as I do it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UnionBook:<\/strong> Just launched a $150 Google adwords campaign &#8212; this money is a gift from Google, so we should use it. \u00a0UnionBook has been growing slowly but surely over the last few weeks and this may give it a boost. \u00a0Also publicized UnionBook in my daily wire post\/tweet\/Facebook update.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book of the month:<\/strong> We&#8217;re promoting <a href=\"https:\/\/ssl30.pair.com\/unionist\/ccp51\/cgi-bin\/cp-app.cgi?rrc=N&amp;pg=prod&amp;ref=posters&amp;affl=labourstart\">this<\/a> starting today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campaigns:<\/strong> Have asked permission to close down the Iraqi oil unions campaign, which has been running for more than three months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internationalization<\/strong>: We have a volunteer in Serbia who is keen to help us get our Serbian language edition off the ground; today I sent him the file for translation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conference followup:<\/strong> I&#8217;ve added links to articles about the conference, videos, photos and Tweets <a href=\"http:\/\/www.labourstart.org\/2010\">here<\/a>. \u00a0Also removed the ads for the conference from the front page of LabourStart and UnionBook, and from the LabourStart correspondents sign in page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, that was pretty amazing.
