53 1/2 hours to go …

The first event of the LabourStart conference is at 15:00 on Friday (the walking tours) and the first event in the conference centre is at 18:00.  If you’ve not yet done so, please make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of the conference programme and the very detailed manual on the Downloads page of this site.  See you all in Berlin!

Registration for the conference is now closed

We’re sorry, but with the conference less than 4 days away, we’re completely full.  If, however, you are already in Berlin and wish to attend, please email gisela@labourstart.org and we will see what we can do.

We’re getting full … and need your help

We have a lot more registrants for this conference than we were expecting, but we know that a considerable number of the people who registered will probably not attend.

If you registered and do not plan to attend the conference, please email us urgently: ericlee@labourstart.org.

Thanks very much!

LabourStart at the ITUC

lsstallitucLabourStart has a small (very small) stall at the World Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation, meeting this week in Berlin.

If you’re attending the ITUC, please stop by to learn more about our upcoming Global Solidarity Conference, to pick up our brand-new flyers and to check out our latest book, Solidarity: Selected Essays by Dan Gallin.

On Saturday night, we’re out of the conference hall and into the streets!

istanbul

Between the end of the Saturday afternoon session and our unmissable conference party, we’ve been asked by our German trade union hosts to come out in strength to support workers in … well, it’s a surprise.   (We don’t always want the employers to know our plans.) More details when you arrive in Berlin.

Are you a LabourStart correspondent?

If you are, don’t forget that there’s a special meeting for LabourStart correspondents only on Sunday, 25 May at 16:00.

This is the one occasion when LabourStart correspondents from all over the world can physically get together in the same room to discuss the things that matter, to plan the future of our project.

Please suggest any agenda items to ericlee@labourstart.org or canada@labourstart.org.

Not sure if you are a LabourStart correspondent? If you’re on this list, you are, and you’re welcome to attend the meeting. If you’re not, you can sign up to be a LabourStart correspondent at the conference in Berlin.

We now have a hashtag: #lsc14

buttonThe hashtag for our conference is ‪#‎lsc14‬. Please note it and use it — tell the world you’re in Berlin, and what you’re seeing and hearing there. Ask questions and make comments on the discussions. Spread the word!
