More Joan

Who has a better voice than Joan Baez? No one I know. And some of her best songs are union songs, and songs in support of social justice and peace. Starting today, Tuesdays we'll feature half a dozen of her best songs, including The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti, Blowin' in the Wind, There But for Fortune, John Lennon's Imagine and two live versions of Joe Hill. You can hear Joe Hill throughout the week, but Tuesday is the day to tune into Radio LabourStart to catch all the rest.

New music: Joan Baez, Bob Froese

Today we've added one of the most beautiful union songs ever recorded -- Joan Baez singing "Joe Hill" at the Woodstock festival in 1969. It's so good that we're playing it every day of the week on Radio LabourStart.

We've also added all 14 songs from the album "On the Line with Bob Froese - Beware a movement that sings". Bob's songs on this album include "Union Rap", "We Shall Not be Moved" and "Unemployed". The album was commissioned by the Canada Employment and Immigration Union.

More music on the way soon.
