From the Canadian Media Guild, the Union representing the (formerly) locked-out Canadian Broadcasting Corporation workers:
Well, Studio Zero has pulled down it's virtual antenna and ceased operations in the wake of the pending return to CBC Radio.
On behalf of the CMG, I would like to thank each of you for helping me and the other producers of SZ, and for helping the locked-out workers for your wonderful and amazing support during this time. It's because of
the podcasts and the airtime you gave them, that our union negotiated with full confidence of its members.
You will not be forgotten in all this, as labour historians are now hyped over this new precendent in communication and negotiations. We all made history!
As far as I know, the podcasts will continue to stay online at the radio4all and indymedia servers.
Thank you. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
Sincerely,
Lee Rosevere
