As the lock-out continues and the CBC workers settle in for the long haul, they find the time to produce more and more material. Radio LabourStart is proud to be able to bring it to you in one place.
On pretty much a daily basis we're running new shows from Shelagh Rogers (normally host of Sounds Like Canada on Radio 1) as she works her way across the country, jumping from CBC fan to CBC fan, trying but failing to find some connection between the people who listen to the Corp and the people who think they run it.
Tod Maffin, propellorhead extraordinaire and Radio 1 and TV tech columnist has started a MP3 version of his CBC Unplugged website. You'll find it here.
Listening to the efforts of the on-air folks, producers and techs as they do radio on sidewalks and in coffeshops across the country, you have to wonder why they don't just follow in the footsteps of the Toronto Star founders who turned their strike paper into a job rather than return to work.
This stuff is good.
