Workers at an industrial laundry facility in Connecticut have scored a precedent-setting victory in their efforts to reduce their exposure to toxic chemicals, and at the same time help clean up the area’s waterways. The state Department of Environmental Protection held a public hearing Thursday night on the company’s application for a revised discharge permit.
