How to listen

OK, we know that sounds a little weird. I mean, "normal" radio stations don't have to tell you "how to listen."

But we know that the Internet is a new place for many of you, and maybe this is the first time you've tried to listen to an Internet radio station.

Here's what you need to listen to Radio LabourStart:

1. A sound card in your computer -- chances are you already have one of these

2. Speakers or headphones

3. A connection the Internet (well, we know you have that)

4. Software that plays MP3 files (oops -- OK, we'll explain that one)

That "software that plays MP3 files" might have scared you off a bit. But don't worry -- chances are you already have software on your computer that does this.

Before you do anything else, make sure to sign up to Live365 (free of charge, of course). You will need to tell it which player (see below) you wish to use.

You can then listen to Radio LabourStart using any of the following programs:

a. Player 365 - You might find it easiest to work with the software that Live365 offers free of charge.
b. Real Player - the classic software for streaming multimedia can be easily configured to play Live365 radio broadcasts.
c. Windows Media Player - probably comes pre-installed on your computer
d. iTunes - from Apple. This is very easy to set up. Just hit Ctrl + U, and key in http://www.live365.com/play/labourstart
e. WinAmp The venerable MP3 player.
f. MusicMatch Another popular MP3 player.

Here is a guide for Windows users on how to listen to radio broadcasts using Live365.com.
