UGT-Portugal expresses deep shock and revulsion at the brutal torture and murder of Hadi Salih

We would like to express our deep shock and revulsion at the brutal torture and murder of Hadi Salih, International Secretary of the Iraqi Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU) on the 4th January.
Hadi Salih was a courageous man and he has paid a heavy price to terrorism regarding his commitment to building a free society with respect for trade union rights. His brutal torture and murder express the terrorism hate to the democracy and to an authentic worker’s movement in Iraq.
