Countdown to Toronto: 108 days to go
This post, which will stay on top of Inside LabourStart for a while, will serve to update you about our upcoming Global Solidarity Conference in Toronto, which opens on 6 May 2016. Questions about the conference? Email Canada@LabourStart.org.
D-108 – 19 January 2016: We’ll soon have a draft agenda and list of topics and speakers. We’ve invited four prominent speakers from the USA, Canada, Mexico and South Africa. We’re up to 256 people registered to attend the conference already.
D-150 – 8 December 2015: We have 100 people already signed up on Eventbrite. Publicity today was a graphic link on our global home page in English.
D-151 – 7 December 2015: Publicity mailing goes out to our lists in Italian (3,970), Czech (82) and Slovak (21).
D-154 – 4 December 2015: Publicity mailing goes out to our Russian list (2,433 subscribers).
D-155 – 3 December 2015: Publicity mailing goes out to our French list (8,324 subscribers). An announcement is sent to our LinkedIn list.
D-156 – 2 December 2015: Publicity mailing goes out to our English list (85,510 subscribers). Also sent to our UnionBook members’ list. And publicized on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and UnionBook.
D-157 – 1 December 2015: Eventbrite set up as the registration system for the conference; we including additional details on the form, such as union name.
