New campaigns launched – our first in nearly a month …
We’ve launched a campaign at the request of UE today. Some publicity today, much more tomorrow.
And this one (UK only) launched in support of outsourced workers at the University of London.

As we’re all about and all committed to global solidarity, why are we doing “country only” campaigns?
We’ve been doing ‘country-only’ campaigns for several years now. These tend to be campaigns we are asked to run by local or national unions that we don’t believe need global support.
We anticipate over time that we will run more and more of these local campaigns.
Not every campaign can be a global one, particularly ordinary bread-and-butter campaigns in which workers are righting for better wages and working conditions.
We’re trying to reserve the global campaigns to a manageable number that will focus on serious violations of workers rights in most — but not all — cases.
