New campaign launched to support T-Mobile workers in the USA
UNI has asked us to launch this campaign today – Labor Day in the USA. They sent us translations into German, French and Spanish, so we went live in four languages simultaneously.

Brought up on UnionBook: new unions fighting for official recognition in India (see Maruti-Suzuki posts) but potentially in many other countries, are refused LabourStart’s services. What can we/they do about this?
Unions in potentially many countries are refused LabourStart’s services? What on earth are you talking about?
Sorry, perhaps I could have worded that better. The point is that they are not officially recognized unions but fighting to gain that status. It’s the reason for many conflicts in India and they are usually backed up by citizens organizations, not unions. Although they often have hundreds of supporters, they are not in a position to become members of GUF’s nor even (mainly government sponsored) national federations. This is also a major source of conflict in other countries to which, on the face of things, we can’t cater for.
Please see the comments on these UnionBook posts:

Could you give these guys some sort of response as I must admit, I was stumped? IMHO it would be good to be able to give them support campaign-wise.
Did a mail blast about the CWA T-Mobile campaign – any stats regarding involvement of people from the USA, and if possible by union?
See here, as usual for any campaign.
